A small little coastal village situated between the towns of Sedgefield and Knysna on the Garden Route coastline of South Africa, inside the Goukamma Marine and Coastal Reserve. It consists of only 200 houses and a shop / restaurant complex. This allows one to really unwind, kick back and relax for some well deserved down time. Besides serving its purpose for the small number of permanent residents, it has served as a favourite family holiday destination for generations of South Africans, and people who have spent a holiday/s here often make life long friends.

With endless beaches stretching in both directions along the coast, you will be hard pressed to find a better place to clear your mind. The younger kids build sand castles on the beach while mom tans under the umbrella, the teenagers try and outdo each other in the surf, while the older teens and young adults check each other out before tonight’s beach party (with the folks consent, of course).

Besides the obvious ocean related activities, there are ample opportunities to keep yourself busy with excellent golf courses in Knysna (Simola, Pezula, etc.), world class mountain biking in the Knysna Forest and surrounds, as well as great hiking and birding, not to mention the superb retsaurants and bistro’s around town.
